Active Seating for Learning at Home

Active sitting, also known as dynamic sitting, is based on the idea that flexibility and movement while sitting can enhance the ease of tasks and allow for greater focus by the sitter. It can be as simple as a rocking chair and carries cognitive benefits as well as physical ones. While it can be especially helpful for children with motor difficulties, it is effective in helping any child learn and prosper. Wobble stools, wiggle seats and ball chairs are all great ways to incorporate active seating in your at-home learning environment.
