Eat Smart School Nutrition Program
CATCH becomes a part of the school environment. Students come in contact with CATCH in many places and times throughout their school day, and the cafeteria is no exception!
In fact, the cafeteria now becomes another opportunity to encourage students to adopt healthful behaviors.
Designed to be used by school Food Service Directors and their staffs, East Smart is the blueprint for delivering meals with lower total fat and lower saturated fat. Meal planning and purchasing are addressed along with methods to prepare foods with less fat, and promoting the school’s Eat Smart program. The Eat Smart nutritional objective match USDA nutritional goals for school meals.
